So Excited that Paschal and Jacintas wedding is featured on rocknroll bride today. It is a blog I love to have a peek at, its full of inspirational off beat weddings that are quite refreshing to look at in a world that all to often only shows the very uniform notions of what a wedding looks like.

Paschal contacted me, and I immediately knew I wanted to be involved in their wedding, it was in the middle of the Summer, all in house at Barnabrow and they were having just a small number of their closest family. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? And then I met them, and knew it would be.

I arrived at Barnabrow and there were already a bunch of guests wandering around exploring the venue. This is such a great thing to be able to do, and something that a lot of home – church weddings can miss out on. I found Jacinta by following the sounds of laughter up the stairs, where I was greeted like an old friend, and not even the slightest hint of panic over my broken arm! (long story)  I knew her wedding dress was going to be something special, and I was not disappointed. Jacinta got it made by Bonzie at Willow and Wild Boutique, and it was the perfect dress for her. The corset top had the most intricate embellishment, and the skirt is the most floaty, dreamy fun skirt! Bonzie also created the neck piece, the broach bouquet, and decorated the shoes. Equally unique, and made by another talented lady (Tuula Harrington of Design Works)  were the engagement and wedding rings. Once the lady was dressed and had a sip of pink bubbles we wandered up to the conservatory. Stopping to have a quick little dance along the way! The wedding ceremony got underway, again there was lots of laughing and lovely readings. I love Jacintas reaction when Anne pronounced them husband and wife. Happy or wha!? Married, they marched down the isle and all their guests congratulated them. We organised some group shots by the decking, and went for a bit of a stroll down to the main house to get a few of the happy couple together, then they enjoyed time in the sun with their guests before heading back up the the dining room for their banquet.

It was one of the loveliest, most heartfelt wedding celebrations. It was easy, and fun from start to finish and really, really makes me love my job.
