My favourite thing about this wedding is that the couple who got married really, really enjoyed their day. I know that seems like a given at a wedding, but often it’s hard for a couple to just relax and enjoy. Sinéad and Kev did just that and their wedding day was filled with fun, laughter and squeals of delight!
The morning of the wedding Sinéad decided to get ready close to UCC, in very lovely Kingsley hotel, which was a hive of excitement when I arrived. Susan O’Flynn was finishing up make up, and Kim Moynihan was perfecting hair, herself and Sinéad really bouncing off each other and setting the tone for the day to come. In high spirits we made our way on over to UCC where the wedding ceremony was held in the magnificent Aula Maxima. Kev and Sinéad were delighted to be reunited after their night apart, and thoroughly enjoyed their ceremony which had it all, beautiful readings, funny little poems, moving music, heartfelt wedding vows and a lovely hand fasting ceremony. Married they skipped down the isle and greeted their friends and family. We popped around the corner to the Presidents gardens for some family photographs, and then took a little walk down towards the Glucksman for a few around the weeping willows. The happy couple (really, very happy!) were driven by their friend, complete with chauffeurs hat, to Kinsale where we did a quick stop at Charles Fort for a few more photos. The wedding reception was held in Actons hotel, and with the weather being glorious, everyone one got to mingle out in the sun before being called for dinner.
Thank you Sinéad and Kev for having me there; it was a real pleasure. x
