You know I love the aul wedding photography. And I really love a small Cork City wedding. So you can imagine how happy I was when my lovely friend Ciara asked me to take some photographs of her and Pauls intimate city wedding. Dream job! Glamorous and gorgeous Ciara nailed the little registry office wedding look don’t you think? She got ready at home with her sister and Mum, with aunties, uncles, and granny all stopping by to say hello and adding to the excitement. Then when everyone was ready we made our way into Cork to the registry office where a very calm seeming Paul was waiting for us. The ceremony was a relaxed and heartfelt affair, the couple exchanged their own personal vows to add a really personal and fun touch. This is such a sweet thing to do, the ceremony can be so quick it is nice to add a few extra little bits, so you have time to take it in. Declared married, the couple exchanged hugs and kisses with their gathered family. Then Ciara and Paul strolled up the road in the rain to the Mutton Lane, the site of their first date. Day time pint in the Lane is a special thing, and particularly on the day you get married! After their pint and catch up time they strolled out onto Patrick street and hailed a cab. A quick spin out the road brought us to the River Lee Hotel where they joined the rest of their family for a meal. What a perfect little low key Cork City wedding day!
