Jen and Tyrones wedding in Kinsale was the kind of wedding I love to photograph; one that was full of love and laughter.
I began the day at Jens family home where the whole tone for the day was set. It was clear to me immediately that this was a close family. I thought it was lovely to see how excited Jens sisters were, and how very proud and delighted her parents were. There were no nerves at all, only excitement. Jen and Tyrone were married in the same church her parents were married in! We even recreated a shot in front of the grotto of bride and father. You will see the shot below, with Jens mum looking on smiling.
Not that these two needed putting at ease, but it was a big bonus that a friend of Tyrones was available to be their priest. It made the whole ceremony that bit more personal.
After the ceremony guests had a quick catch up out side the church and then we all headed for Kinsale. We decided to make a stop with the wedding party at Charles Fort for some photographs. As you can see from the photographs we all had great fun, what an easy bunch to photograph! Also timing wise it worked out perfectly because it gave guests a chance to get checked in before the bride and groom arrived to the hotel. When Jen and Tyrone pulled up at the hotel there were loads of guests to cheer their arrival. Since our organised photos were out of the way it left everyone with plenty of time to enjoy a drink and a good catch up before dinner, and left me with ample time to get lots of great candid shots.
Thank you Jen and Tyrone for having me as your wedding photographer and for letting me share here.
