A city wedding is great, and the Clayton in Cork city makes for a super city centre venue. I was delighted to have a wedding that didn’t require any driving, I cycled one of the Coke bikes to it, and was able to park up right outside! Finbarr and Johanne decided to go for a really small wedding with just their closest family and friends. They were married under a tree by Celtic priest Dara Molloy, who drew on the ancient elements of the oak tree overhead and the river Lee in front of us during the cermony. It made for interesting contrast in this most modern of settings. The tree provided more entertainment later, when one of the branches fell on guest! Luckily no one was hurt, and everyone saw the funny side! After the ceremony Johanne, Finbarr and I went out to the board walk right outside the hotel for a quick few shots of the two of them. That was pretty much the whole extent of the posed photographs! Then they got the lift to the top floor to join their guests in the drinks reception in the penthouse apartment, over looking the city. It was a really relaxed and fun day and it all seemed so effortless. Thanks Finbarr & Johanne for letting me share some pictures here.
