Shalyn and Enver managed to find the most beautiful location for their romantic (misty) Irish wedding, and did it all online! Westcove House is located on the Iveragh Peninsulla, not far from Derrynane in Co. Kerry. The place is magic. I am itching to get back there some time. I’d love to see it in the sunshine.

This amazing young couple from the USA made the trip to Ireland with a bunch of their friends and family for a week around St. Patricks day. They were able to rent out the whole house and cottages for the week, so everyone got to feel at home and to do a bit of sightseeing before the main event.

On the wedding day the weather did not co-operate. It rained more or less all day. And I mean that. It was either raining more or raining less all day long. I felt bad for these people who had travelled such a long way. But they didn’t mind in the least, and were even happy to pop out in to the rain for a little bit so we could get some out door shots. I was delighted! They were delighted. This couple were so easy going and up for anything.

The whole day was chilled. The ceremony couldn’t be outside like they hoped, so some furniture was moved around in the dining room and everyone was able to see the couple exchange their vows in the big bay window. Once the ceremony was done, the house party got going. That was the vibe; house party, people helped themselves to drinks and nibbles and really enjoyed their fireside drinks, with local musicians providing some great trad. We did some very casual group shots, and ducked out for a few couple portraits, before everyone made their way up to the stables where everyone sat down to dinner, and then as causally as everything else Shalyn and Enver jumped up and had their first dance. Soon everyone else was up and it was fairly wild when I was leaving!

It makes me so happy to have been Shalyn and Envers wedding photographer, they and their friend and family had the most positive and lovely attitude. I hope their wedding photographs will serve as a great reminder of their fantastic St Patricks day wedding in Ireland.
