Let me tell you about this beautiful wedding in Cloughjordan House on what had to be the wettest wedding of the year! It was the wedding of Laura and Robert, and despite being a proud Offaly woman they opted to come to the Premier County for their wedding! Hon’ Tipp!

I lie to couples all the time! I say the weather will be grand! I actually mean it and believe it when I say it, but sadly for Laura and Rob I was very wrong. It rained and rained all day long, some times really LASHING! Thankfully Laura and Rob have the best attitude to everything in life, and just shrugged and laughed and got on with having the best time celebrating their wedding.

Laura got ready in her home in Tullamore. We hopped in our cars and drove to Cloughjordan where Robert and his family and the dog were waiting to great us. We did some family groups in the house, and wedding party shots too. They were pretty much the same thing. Laura had her two sisters as brides maids and Robert had his two sisters as his… groomsmaids? How lovely is that?

Meanwhile all the guests were arriving and getting settled up in the “woodshed”, a barn that has been converted into the perfect location for a wedding ceremony. When everyone was ready the wedding party got ferried up in a golf buggy. It was just as well it was there, the rain was torrential at that point.

The ceremony was so beautiful, and really heartfelt. The couple put so much of themselves into it and it was funny, sad, and full of joy. Laura and Rob had grown the pumpkins that decorated the room, and actually made their own wedding rings! There is a close up shot of the wedding rings there. Yes, they made those rings!

When the ceremony was over we all made our way to the main house where we enjoyed Hallowe’en themed cocktails. Speeches were done casually before everyone was called into the dining room for a fantastic shared feast.

I left at about midnight, and the dance floor was hopping! I’d say it was a late one.

Thank you Laura and Robert.

I have included a few photos of their beautiful wedding album here too. I know I am showing images on screen here, but really nothing compares to printed photographs. This wedding album is a matted wedding album. It means the photographs are behind a mount or matt. It is a really classic style of wedding album. There are loads of cover fabrics to choose from. Laura and Robert went bold, and selected this beautiful orange which complimented the autumnal colour palette of the wedding day.

“Thanks so much for the photos! They are fantastic! We’re thrilled with them. You got so many super shots!
We are delighted we got you as our wedding photographer and that you enjoyed the day too.
As for the weather sure what could we do only roll with it!
It was just such a fun day and you really captured it all!”
