I am happy to share this special Dromquinna Manor wedding with you.
The week before their wedding I met Anne Marie and Joy for the first time in a car park at the Horse and Jockey! Seriously! The brief was simple. “We want nice, natural wedding photos that capture the atmosphere of the day. We don’t want to miss any of the party.”
The following week in the much grander surroundings of Dromquinna Manor the pair were married. The morning of the wedding was so lovely and calm as the girls got ready together. They then made their way together to the ceremony. The ceremony was in Shutters on the Pier, a beautiful room over looking the water and with the mountains in the background. It is some setting, beautiful and calming really ideal for a wedding. I love a good wedding ceremony and this was a very good wedding ceremony indeed. At one point their friend sang and blew everyone away. Every face I looked at was full of emotion, tears in everybody’s eyes! When the girls were pronounced married there was more excitement as Joy’s mother had secretly armed guests with maracas. When the girls kissed all the guests jumped up, cheering and waving their maracas about!
The party atmosphere was really set and so we made their way to the manor house to mingle and catch up. After the girls had a chance to say hello to everyone we did a few portraits with immediate family and the friends that made up the wedding party. It was just a handful of shots and took about 15 minutes. I was pleased. They were pleased. Mission accomplished.
